If you are planning to visit Sant’Antioco Island at the end of May, don’t miss the boat show “the lagoon exhibits” from 30th May to 2nd June 2015. Many local exhibitors will be attending and offer their products. Police forces boats will be moored at the marina open to the public to visit. Besides the exhibit, many collateral events will take place around Sant’Antioco Island: activities for kids, excursions of the island (by sail boat, by jeep), wine and food tasting, dancing and musical entertainment. Keep an eye on the “La Laguna Espone” website and on its Facebook FanPage: the programme of the event is continuously updated.
On the same days, on the very close island of Carloforte – easily reachable by ferry boat from the port of Calasetta (the other town on Sant’Antioco island) – another international and well known event will take place: the Girotonno, an event entirely dedicated to tuna fish.
I will soon dedicate few posts on Carloforte island and its beautiful beaches and events, on Calasetta town and other unspoiled destinations (to name a few: Porto Pino, Buggerru, Nebida, Masua, rosas mines..) easily reachable from Sant’Antioco Island.
