Sant’Antioco goes to Ozieri (SS). This is the itinerant art exhibit on Saint Antiochus stop number 4. From 18th February to 3rd April the itinerant contemporary art exhibit will be hosted at Museo Diocesano and open to public. The entrance is free and the art works are very impressive and important. Previously it stopped in Nettuno, Guidonia Montecelio and Rome. Right after Ozieri, the itinerant art exhibit will stop in Sant’Antioco on the occasion of the Sagra of Sant’Antioco, the local festival which takes place in Sant’Antioco every year, 15 days after Easter.
The art exhibit in Ozieri consists of 30 art works, including 12 paintings and 18 sculptures. It is a historical journey through the past, present and future: the artists, through the figure of Antiochus wanted to interpret and represent the difficult issues immigrants face.
Sant’Antioco’s relics were carried in procession to Ozieri’s cathedral. People devoted to Sant’Antioco still have the chance to worship his relics in Basilica of Sant’Antioco, where after 400 years of absence are now preserved.
